Individual Assessment

Individual assessment can be used for job applicants or employees at any level. An individual assessment is highly recommended for selecting or promoting candidates to key leadership positions, developing leadership talent, or succession planning.

Individual assessments are tailored to fit your specific organizational needs and include off-the-shelf tests and custom exercises that mirror realistic, job-related scenarios. A sample of the leadership assessment tools include:

  • Role-play exercises to assess aptitudes such as coaching, teamwork, and adaptability.
  • Business case analyses to evaluate the ability to recognize problems, analyze facts, and make decisions.
  • In-basket exercises to assess abilities such as organization, prioritization, and problem solving. These exercises require candidates to respond to memoranda, letters, and/or e-mails simulating information typically encountered on the job.
  • Structured interviews to measure traits such as customer orientation, dependability, and leadership.
  • Cognitive tests to measure critical thinking and reasoning.
  • Personality tests to assess attributes such as conscientiousness and extroversion.
  • Multi-rater feedback to provide multiple perspectives on performance on targeted leadership dimensions.

After the assessment process, the consultant, under the direction of a psychologist, integrates all the information about an individual and prepares a detailed assessment report that includes not only descriptions of behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses but also development strategies.
